New motorcycle in GTA Online costs 2.5 million, hardly faster than one for $15,000

In GTA Online you can now buy the new motorcycle Shinobi. But the high purchase price discourages players. It is the most expensive non-boost motorcycle. And for that, it’s quite slow, as tests show.

What kind of motorcycle is that? On Thursday, January 13th, Rockstar Games released the Nagasaki Shinobi. This is a sport bike that can be found at dealers with a whopping price of GTA$2,480,500. With the price, it is now the most expensive motorcycle in GTA Online that does not have a boost.

The price alone caused critical voices in the community. Tests have now shown that the Shinobi is barely faster than the Bati 801, which you can get for GTA$15,000.

How good is the Nagasaki Shinobi?

This is how the release went: The shop announcement of the new motorcycle made waves in the community. Players wondered why a motorcycle has to be so expensive.

    • Has no possibility to store vehicles in it
    • Brings no money

    • Torpedoes and homing missiles
    • A whole lobby fits in
    • It’s literally a submarine
    • You can park vehicles like the Sparrow, Kraken Avisa and a submarine car in it
    • Has the planning board for the Cayo Perico Heist
    • “Captain!”

Players write:

  • The Kosatka is an essential purchase if you want to make money
    • The shinobi is something you buy when you make it in Los Santos and want to burn some money
  • “And it’s not even better than the bati,” SleepyAnanas writes (via reddit)

This is what the tests show: YouTuber Broughy1322 is well known in the GTA Online community. He tests all new vehicles on his own test tracks for their top speed and their lap times. He also tested the new Shinobi in two videos.

In terms of lap times, the shinobi can just about save itself in the top 3:

  1. Nagasaki Shotaro: 0: 57,5 Minuten
  2. Shitzu Hakuchou Drag: 0: 57,6 Minuten
  3. Nagasaki Shinobi: 0: 58,59 Minuten
  4. Pegassi Bati 801: 0: 58,65 Minutes

With a top speed of around 201 km/h, the Shinobi only managed seventh place. Far behind the Manchez Scout, which reaches a proud 225 km/h. The test is also by Broughy1322 and can be found on his YouTube channel. When making this comparison, you have to keep in mind that the Bati 801 costs only GTA$15,000 and the Manchez Scout costs GTA$225,000. So both are significantly cheaper than the Shinobi.

So for racing, the shinobi is not a must-buy, which will help you tremendously. The Shinobi is probably more of a bike for players who have enough money and prefer looks over performance.

How do you like the new bike in GTA Online? Do you think the price is okay, since you earn enough money with the Cayo-Perico-Heist anyway, or is it still too expensive? Let us know what you think about it here on MeinMMO in the comments.
