PSVR 2 poll: How much would you pay for the new VR headset?

What the PSVR 2 headset looks like is not yet known, the picture shows the PSVR 1 headset.

During CES 2022, Sony finally put some cards on the table. The VR system for the PS5, which has been unveiled since last year, is called PSVR 2 and has significantly more complex technologies than its predecessor, including an improved tracking system and foveated rendering.

A data sheet with the most important technical specifications was also published, but Sony did not reveal the design of the headset or what are probably the two most important pieces of information. Because it is not yet known when PSVR 2 will appear, nor how expensive the system will be. Time for a bit of speculation, and that’s where you come in. In our survey, we want to know from you what maximum price you would be willing to pay for PSV2 based on the information known so far.

Below are a few price ranges that you can choose from. Of course, you are welcome to justify your choice in the comments or name a specific limit for you. We are looking forward to your participation!

As a reminder and classification: PSVR started more than five years ago at an introductory price of 399 euros. However, in order to be able to use it, you also needed the PlayStation camera. In the meantime, the system is almost nowhere to get – except on the secondary market or for moon prices.

PSVR 2 is a virtual reality headset for the PS5 and the successor to the PSVR released in 2016. With the technically much more powerful system, Sony is once again attacking the VR market and wants to convince even more players of virtual reality. The price should play a not insignificant role.
