This is how you get the important weapons

To perform the ruby glitch, you first need different types of weapons. Including at least one item from the Guard set, such as a weapon, bow or shield. In addition, you need several multi-shot arcs, preferably between five and seven.

This is how you get the Guard gear: This particular type of equipment can only be found inside Hyrule Castle. Right near the Sasu Kosa Shrine, which you need to activate beforehand, you can find a Guard Shield in the King’s Study. There are other guard items in other places in the castle, but the shield is theoretically the fastest.

This is how you get multi-shot sheets: On the one hand, the Leunen drop this weapon from time to time, on the other hand, you can get it in the Yiga’s hideout. There are a total of six arches that you can find on the way, in the entrance and inside the hideout.

That’s behind the actual glitch

Once you have achieved all of this, you can travel to the stable by the river in the Plains of Hyrule and search for Parisse there. She gives you a gem every time you exchange a Guard item for it. But before you do that, you have to activate the glitch first. And it works like this:

  1. Throw all Guard items out of your menu until you only have one left that you want to use for the glitch.
  2. Depending on which category the Guard item belongs to, you must now equip another item of the same type. If you do the glitch with a Guard weapon, then use a different weapon. If you do it with a Guard shield, then use another shield.
  3. Go out of the menu and then the glitch can start.
  4. Go back into the menu and equip a multi-shot bow with an electric arrow. Then go back out of the menu and press the ZR button to draw the bow.
  5. Go back into the menu, throw away the equipped bow and equip the next one.
  6. Exit the menu and repeat this step until the menu link is just a flying head.
  7. If so, you can equip the Guard item and talk to Parisse. Trade in your item and you’ll get a gem.
  8. If you talk to Parisse again, you can exchange the same item for a gem again.
  9. Fill up your inventory with gems until you can’t carry any more.
  10. Go to a merchant and sell the gems there.

If Link looks like this in the menu, you did everything right.
If Link looks like this in the menu, you did everything right.

Repeat this process over and over and you can make more rubies in a short amount of time than you can probably spend in the entire game.
