They steal 147 iPhone, iPad and Mac from the Apple Store in Valencia

A robbery perpetrated on January 14 at the Apple Store in Valencia ends with almost 150 devices stolen.

According to several local media reports, several telephone stores in the Valencian Community have been assaulted by six hooded men referred to as “the Porsche gang”. The thefts took place in Castelló, Vila-real and Valencia and the Apple Store of the capital of the province has been one of the places attacked.

In the robbery at the Apple Store on Calle Colón in Valencia, a total of 147 devices between iPhone, iPad and Mac. At the moment, the National Police has not been able to identify the perpetrators, who acted between 4:00 and 4:15 in the morning of January 14.

Police have yet to identify the thieves, who witnesses describe as five to six hooded men using axes and maces to smash through storefronts before cleaning out the store.

Police patrol cars chased the thieves until they reached the V-30 highway, where they lost them as they were using a much more powerful car. Specifically a Porsche Cayenne, with an obvious difference in power with the engines of police vehicles.

All police patrols have been put on alert, since there is an intuition that “the Porsche gang” will act again after having stolen from three phone shops on three consecutive nights in the Valencian Community. The identification of the thieves is going to be complicated since they cover their faces with balaclavas and hoods and also use gloves and a mask to avoid leaving traces.

It is not the first time that the Apple Store in Valencia about a similar robbery. In the year 2018 we already had a situation like this with a moon landing robbery, now it seems that the thieves have used other types of techniques after the security was reinforced. Although Apple can lock these stolen devices remotely, thieves may be able to unlock them.
