What will Apple call its virtual and augmented reality glasses?
Apple’s glasses could launch this year, but we don’t know how the company will finally end up calling them.
Every year most of the media “invent” the name of the next Apple devices. For example, it is now happening with the iPhone 14, which we call that but we are not sure that Apple will use this name. And everything indicates that this year Apple is going to launch a new device whose official name we obviously do not know.
These new glasses from Apple, which will use virtual reality and augmented reality, they could have great power and be intended for games and entertainment. However, we do not know them thoroughly, and of course we do not know their name.

We will have a new Apple device, what will it be called?
In the latest edition of your weekly newsletter Power On, Mark Gurman de Bloomberg has given his opinion showing multiple different options for the name of this new apple device. These are the options that it shuffles, although they are not based on any information:
- Apple Vision
- Apple Reality
- Apple Sight/iSight
- Apple Lens
- Apple Goggles
- Apple AR, Apple VR, Apple XR, Apple MR o Apple SR
Curiously, Gurman does not bet on one of the most common names by which Apple glasses are known: “Apple Glass”. Although perhaps this makes sense since Apple could reserve this name for the future device, scheduled for the end of the decade, which would indeed be destined to replace the iPhone or the Apple Watch.
We also have no option with the “i” in front, although this is something more normal. Apple has long since abandoned the “i” in the name of its devices, the Apple Watch or the AirPods have already abandoned this trend.
What will they finally be called? At this time it is almost impossible to know, not even Mark Gurman dares to give a definitive name. We will have to wait until mid-2022, at the earliest, to find out.
