Battlefield 2042 still suffers from various problems, but improvement is in sight. Development studio DICE is finally back with good news. They include several updates and one of them is already coming tomorrow. The changes that many fans are hoping for will probably only be introduced with patch 3.3 sometime in mid-February and will finally include a real scoreboard, matchmaking preferences and much more, among other things.

Battlefield 2042 Studio releases update plans and they sound promising

That’s what it’s about: Battlefield 2042 didn’t come out in a particularly good state, and fans have been waiting for new content, bug fixes, and various improvements ever since. Unfortunately, despite other announcements, not too much has changed on the construction sites since the big beta. Here’s a look at what was amiss in early November:

Finally movement comes in: Now, slowly but surely, the tide could finally turn. At least that sounds like what was recently published on the official Battlefield channel on Twitter. There is a whole plan as to what should change, how and when. This also indicates that communication with the community could improve.

Several updates announced: The next update for Battlefield 2042 is called Update 3.2 and will be online tomorrow. The patch is said to bring “a handful of small fixes and improvements” that primarily revolve around Battlefield 2042’s stability. What exactly is in it will be published tonight with the patch notes, unfortunately there is currently no more information about it.

New scoreboard and more: The bigger improvements that many fans are most eagerly awaiting will come later. But there is now at least a rough time frame and more detailed information about the content. Update 3.3 will be released in mid-February and will offer a real scoreboard, among other things. Battlefield 2042 players had sorely missed this so far and this is what it could look like:

This is still planned: The scoreboard is to be revised further and could still be missed one or the other refresh in the future. In addition, we can expect further improvements. These include improvements to experience points in portal mode, so that mastery and weekly missions can also be completed there. More information will come later.

  • Matchmaking: There are no recent announcements regarding the ability to adjust matchmaking preferences in All Out Warfare mode, but the issue is still on the radar and will be addressed in the future.
  • Voice Over IP: The same applies to cross-platform in-game voice chat. This should also be worked on in the future.
  • Performance: Every Battlefield 2042 update is intended to help improve performance in general.
