Destiny 2 is probably planning to revise the annoying mass resources – finally space in the inventory

There have been materials and items in Destiny 2 for a long time that some players pile up in their inventories by the thousands, can hardly get rid of and would like to get rid of right away. Now the community manager has published new information about this and that gives hope for even more space in the inventory.

In the past, Bungie has already done away with the outdated token system at the main NPC vendors. Instead of having to click away tokens by hand, players now level up automatically. The “clicking” was a thing of the past. And by the looks of it, Banshee-44 the Weapon Master is awaiting a similar rework now.

The Community Manager has to a pre-announcement on Twitter made and informed that on Thursday in the “This Week at Bungie” blog they not only want to announce the start date of the new raid.

  • There will also very likely be a change to the system in Banshee-44 so that you get rid of all your Champion materials before Witch Queen.
  • Changes are also pending for the annoying blue items/engrams.

The problem divides the community: Some Destiny 2 players will probably shrug and see this announcement as not an earth-shattering improvement.

Do you use it? Farmmodus im Destiny Item Manager (DIM), blue items are no problem. And if you regularly hand in your materials to Banshee-44, you won’t have an overcrowded inventory either.

The comments in the MeinMMO article on this topic also show that not all players have a problem with this:

Destiny 2 players are fed up with blue engrams – they clog the mail and are useless

For long-time players, the situation is different: Destiny 2 veterans have been living at the vault limit for years and not only stacking excellent GodRolls and exotic armor with top values in the vault.

They’re piling up both Champion Materials and Mod Components, plus a bunch of other stuff. Anyone who is in the endgame usually plays all three characters and then inevitably has a huge space problem at some point.

YouTuber and Destiny 2 content creator KackisHD recently committed to it on twitter voiced:

It literally blows my mind that every time I mention the vault, a lot of people say, “Well, MY vault isn’t full, so why bother improving the game?”

The vault wall on the tower. The items of all Destiny 2 players are stored there.

This is what the community says: The fact that Bungie is now addressing this problem gives players hope for real improvement. Mainly because, in their opinion, the rework of material management and the quality-of-life changes for blue items in Destiny 2 are long overdue.

Destiny 2 announced this change last week to give players more vault space:

When will the changes come into play? You will likely have until the end of Season 15 to turn in your materials to Banshee-44. The new system will come at the start of Witch Queen on February 22, 2022. Some players therefore also find it good that Bungie has already made this announcement.

I have more than 80,000 [Waffenmeister-Materialien], every time I clear a weapon I get more back. I’m glad we have a month to get rid of them

What’s your opinion on the announcement? Can we expect another positive quality-of-life change for Destiny 2? Or do you think this is an adjustment that Bungie could have saved in favor of other changes? If you were the developer of Destiny 2, what is the first thing you would change for Destiny 2 players?
