Opera launches a browser dedicated exclusively to cryptocurrencies

This is how the new Opera browser based on Blockchain works where you can manage and operate with certain cryptocurrencies.

Opera is one of the most popular alternative browsers offering more privacy and features than other competitors, and they have launched different versions of their browser for all kinds of audiences, and now they also want to wink at cryptocurrency lovers.

And it is that from today you can try your new browser Crypto Browser Project, right now in beta versions available for mobile phones, PCs and Macs and providing a new Web3 experience.

But it is not the first web browser with a cryptocurrency wallet that they launch, because they already dared with it in 2018, but now they have wanted to go much further.

So its new browser version is designed for those users who make use of cryptography services, but also for those beginners who want to enter this market niche. With this browser, access to browsing decentralized applications (dApps) such as games and metaverse platforms is offered.

This alternative browser integrates functions of the normal version of Opera that we have, such as VPN without login, native tracker blocker, but additionally including features focused on the use of the Blockchain-based web.

In addition to offering the browser and also the portfolio function, it includes an area called Crypto Corner which includes an aggregator of the latest industry news, as well as podcasts, videos, educational content, NFTs, and everything at a glance.

They add in the Press release that “our new non-custodial wallet has a number of improvements over the previous version and will eventually replace wallets in our other browsers.”

Everyone talks about cryptocurrencies but… do they really contribute anything, beyond their status as merchandise to speculate on? Let’s see what they are used for.

They add that “The addition of support for ETH, ERC-20, ERC-721 and ERC-1155 tokens is planned for the first quarter. In addition, this will allow users to buy cryptocurrencies with fiat money, exchange cryptocurrencies directly in their wallet, send and receive tokens and check balances and commissions“.

This first beta wallet only works with Ethereum applications, but later they want to add support for Polygon and Solana networks.

Users are allowed, thanks to the agreements they have reached, to buy cryptocurrencies through the fiat access system which will allow them to make direct exchanges, also a user will be able to check their balance and even access an NFT gallery.

Finally, to address one of the problems associated with Blockchain technology, which is the environmental cost of each transaction, they have partnered with solutions such as Polygon, which consume much less energy than the main Blockchain networks of its level.
