Instagram will allow creators to pay a monthly subscription

Instagram has made a great commitment to consolidate itself against other platforms. This week the Meta-owned company has started testing a monthly subscription model for its creators.
Subscriptions include access to special exclusive live streams, exclusive stories and a subscriber badge that will help them identify themselves in creators’ message request folders in the inbox.
According to the information shared in your blog, for now the test will only be available in the United States, pricing tiers will range from $0.99 to $99.99 per month, and creators can select the price point for their subscriptions, depending on how much they think their content is worth.
Instagram begins testing its subscription model
To start the trial period of this potential functionality, Instagram has chosen ten profiles, but says more will join in the coming months. The first group includes basketball player Sedona Prince, Olympian Jordan Chiles, and astrologer Aliza Kelly.
The first accounts to monetize son: @alanchikinchow, @sedona._, @alizakelly, @kelseylynncook, @elliottnorris, @jordanchiles, @jackjerry, @bunnymichael, @donalleniii y @lonnieiiv.
Regarding this initiative, the CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg wrote:
I’m excited to continue creating tools for creators to make a living doing creative work and soon put these tools in the hands of more creators.”
Likewise, the director of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, shared his expectations regarding Instagram subscriptions, stating that subscriptions are one of the best ways for influencers and creators have predictable income.
Regarding the benefit for Instagram, the co-director of Instagram Product, Ashley Yuki stated that the company won’t take any revenue sharing until at least 2023.
