Destiny 2 Polishes up the Arms Dealer – Gunsmith materials and mod components are dying

Destiny 2’s new TWaB has been released, and with it new information about Witch Queen. It’s finally time for the blue engrams and the most annoying materials. You can find out what will change here on MeinMMO.

What was announced? The new This Week at Bungie (short TWaB) was published as usual on Thursday. In it, the developer revealed a lot of new information about the changes that will come to players with Witch Queen. Among other things, Bungie revealed how they’re going about with the pesky blue engrams that are notorious for clogging up the postmaster.

It was also announced that with “The Witch Queen” the mod components and weapons master materials no longer play a role. We’ll tell you all the details about it.

Blue engrams are being adjusted

What is the problem with engrams? Many players are complaining that their Vaults and Mailroom are being overrun by Blue Engrams. These pesky things only provide good gear for newcomers. They are no longer useful for players with high power levels.

So every player is forced to go into the tower after a few rounds of Crucible or Strikes to clean out. If this is not done, legendary engrams that no longer had a place in the postmaster may be destroyed.

How does Bungie plan to address this? Bungie wants to ensure that Witch Queen no longer drops blue engrams in activities like Crucible or Gambit when the soft cap is reached.

If you have exceeded the soft cap of 1500 power, you will have a higher probability of drawing legendary engrams from activities or obtaining legendary shards.

Note that the blue nuisances can still drop from crates and enemies.

Champion Materials and Mod Component will be banned

What will be changed? In Witch Queen, Banshee-44 is completely remodeled. In doing so, he will receive the same ranking system as Zavala and Co. The weapons master materials and mod components will be destroyed as a result.

So you only level up your reputation with him by destroying legendary and exotic equipment. In addition, Banshee-44 and Ada-1 will finally have more mods for sale.

These will be increased from two to four copies. You can then buy them for a whopping 10,000 Glimmer from the respective sellers and thus soon get the mods that are still missing in the collection faster.

What should I do now? Bungie is asking Guardians to redeem all of their materials before Witch Queen launches. Players who have put together a magnificent collection during this time are now losing out, as it usually takes eons to redeem them at retailers.

Despite broken fingers after redeeming, this is good news that brings a bit of a breath of fresh air. So use the time and use all materials until February 22nd. With this you can still create a good cushion of legendary fragments.

What do you think of Bungie changing the well-established systems of Banshee and engrams? Do you like it or do you want the old system? Let us know in the comments!
