Pokemon GO launches Rocket Event & Part 2 of Power Plant Event tomorrow

In Pokémon GO, a rocket event starts on January 24th and the second part of the power plant event. We show you what will change in the game.

What are these events? The power plant event is currently running in Pokémon GO, which, among other things, released Eguana in the game. Niantic divided the event into two parts that differ in content. From January 24th you will find other raid bosses and you can unlearn the charge attack Frustration at the Rocket event.

Rocket event in January 2022 – What’s in it?

When does it start? The Premonition Rocket event starts at midnight on January 24th. The event will probably end together with the Power Plant event on February 1st at 10:00 local time.

What bonuses are there? Niantic announced the following bonuses in advance:

• You will find Team GO Rocket at stops more often
• Team GO Rocket balloons will appear more frequently in the game
• You can use Charged TMs to make Shadow Pokémon forget about the Charged Attack Frustration

What else could come? Niantic announced more content in the block post with the phrase “and it’s getting harder…”. A mistake by the developers could have spoiled the surprise. On the morning of January 23, trainers reported that new Shadow Pokémon could suddenly be caught. Even Arlo, Sierra, and Cliff had new attackers that you could catch after the fight.

Power Plant Event Part 2 – What is changing?

When does it start? On January 24 at 10:00 a.m. local time. The changes will then remain in the game until February 1st at 10:00 CET.

What changes? The second part of the event affects the raids.

• Tier 3 Raids start with Jugong, Keifel, Panpyro and Shardrago*
• Tier 5 raids start with Regice*
  • Regice, which you catch during the event, knows the Thunder attack

The Rocket event in particular is content that many players are looking forward to. Because the frustration attack is typically mastered by all Crypto Pokémon. However, she is bad. You can only unlearn them for special events. So it’s worth sorting your cryptos for the event and learning the right moveset for strong specimens.
