This is Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 11 family to conquer the mid-range

We tell you everything you need to know about the new Redmi Note 11, a family with which Xiaomi intends to conquer the mid-range by launching four terminals that are very similar in design, but that have small, and not so small, differences in screen and components.

Today is the day of presentations and after seeing what is new from Huawei with the P50 Pro and the folding P50 Pocket, it is time to meet four new Xiaomi mobiles within the Redmi family.

A few months ago, Xiaomi confirmed that they were restructuring the families and the Xiaomi (no longer with the ‘Mi’ in front) became the premium family and even the aspirational range. The Redmi and the POCO, however, remain one step below to conquer the mid-range and input quality / price ratio.

And that’s exactly where they come into play. the new Redmi Note 11 that the Chinese company has just presented.

The Redmi Note 11 are the ones with aspirations to sweep their range

Let’s start with the two that don’t have ‘Pro’ in their last name. As you can see in the characteristics table, the Redmi Note 11 and the Note 11S are mobiles that share many specifications, although there are some in which they differ.

Go ahead, the design of all four devices is identical and all four have IP53 protection against dust and splashes, as well as flat panels.

Having said that, the Note 11 and Note 11S have 6.43″ screens with FullHD + resolution and a refresh rate of 90 Hz maximum. They are screens that promise very good brightness levels with a peak of 1,000 nits, something unusual in these ranges and, in addition, with Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Both have 5,000 mAh batteries with 33 W charging and a charger in the box, but seeing this, the differences begin. The Note 11 has the Snapdragon 680 as a processor while the Note 11S has the Helio G95 from MediaTek.

In addition, the cameras also have some differences. They both have an 8-megapixel wide angle and two 2-megapixel cameras for macro and depth, but the main sensor of the Note 11 is 50 megapixels f / 1.8 and the main one of the Note 11S is the Samsung of 108 megapixels with f / 1.9 aperture.

They are mobiles that can give a lot of trouble in the mid-range and, according to Xiaomi, the Note 11 is one that can break the market at the sales level due to its quality/price ratio.

If you need more screen or 5G, the Redmi Note 11 Pro come into play

On the other hand we have the Note 11 and Note 11 Pro which, again, are almost identical to each other, but with some important differences.

Both mount a 5,000 mAh battery and have a fast charge of 67 W with charger included in the box. This is very important because it is the same as the Xiaomi 11 Ultra -analysis- and it is used to charge practically any device that we carry in our backpack.

The screen grows a little to 6.67 “and, although they maintain FullHD + resolution, the brightness also goes up to a maximum of 1,200 nits and the refresh rate goes from 90 to 120 Hz.

Inside we see that the Note 11 Pro has the MediaTek Helio G96 and, switching back to Qualcomm, the 5G version bets on a Snapdragon 695 which, obviously, has a 5G modem and that we really want to try.

In cameras they are almost the same, since both have the Note 11S configuration with the main 108-megapixel, 8-megapixel wide-angle and 2-megapixel macro, but curiously, the Note 11 Pro does without the depth camera.

As you can see, there are four phones that are very similar, but what they are looking for is to allow more options for each user to find their ideal model.
