Reddit is testing a feature that would allow its users to put their NFTs as a profile picture on the world’s favorite social network for forum users.

Although Reddit has its own Ethereum-based NFTs, called CryptoSnoos, which were launched as a trial last year, The idea of ​​the orange social network is that all users who own an NFT can use it as a profile picture.

Surely this sounds recent to you, since Twitter itself recently launched this same feature on its social network, where the photos themselves provide information about the NFT when clicked, and appear as hexagon-shaped images to differentiate them.

“We’re always exploring ways to provide value to users and communities on Reddit. We are currently testing the ability to use NFTs as profile pictures (avatars) and verify ownership“, spokesman said de Reddit Tim Rathschmidt.

Despite this, the spokesperson also made it clear that this is a small internal test and that no decision has been made on the expansion or deployment of NFTs within the platform.
