The Spanish series that can succeed as Dark has premiered on Netflix

Netflix continues betting on national series and today one that hopes to succeed is released, Fair: The Darkest Light.

At Netflix, they have also made a strong investment in productions from non-Anglo-Saxon countries for a long time. It has been demonstrated with all kinds of series and movies that, at just as an American content triumphs in Spain, a Spanish one can do it in the rest of the planet. Fair: The darkest light is the new Spanish project that is launched in a big way on Netflix and that hopes to obtain a large audience in our country and abroad thanks to a mix of suspense and terror in an oppressive setting.

The series with 8 episodes has been created by Agustín Martínez and Carlos Montero and is set in the 90s. Its protagonists are two teenagers who live in a white Andalusian town where they have 23 people died in what could be a collective suicide, or maybe a great murder.

The confusion is continuous, even more so when the naked bodies in the vicinity of a sealed mine a long time ago by an explosion.

One of the strong points of the series is that, as in other great successes of the style of Dark, there is a puzzle to be solved in which it is as important to take your time to understand it as the setting. Instead of the forests of Germany, the Andalusian environment is transformed into an extremely disturbing and dangerous place.

Defined as fantastic thriller, the cast is headed by Carla Campra, Ana Tomeno, Isak Férriz and Marta Nieto.

The review of Fair: The darkest light has been somewhat lukewarm and it is commented that “the incursion into the fantastic and horror thriller that Feria proposes is appreciated, it is a series that has more problems than successes“. Even so, this can be a great success in terms of audience.
