We are a few days away from the start of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, and athletes from all over the world, but also international press, will travel to the Chinese capital to witness one of the most impressive sporting events of the year, and if you have press accreditation, you will probably be surprised by a robotic arm that will serve you the most delicious drinks of the event.

And it is that inside the Media Center of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, they have installed a barman in the form of a robotic arm that can mix and serve cocktails in just 90 seconds and that it looks spectacular, according to the South China Morning Post.

To order the drink, all the customer has to do is pass a QR code that will be scanned by the system and then the robotic arm will prepare a delicious cocktail in just a minute and a half.

The installation of this robot makes sense, because the organization wants to minimize the risk of spreading COVID-19 in the closed circuit of the press by dispensing with human workers.

But not only in the bar will there be a robot that will serve a multitude of cocktails, but also the restaurant that will serve the athletes and the rest of the workers will be operated by other robots.

As for the bartender, this robot is capable of serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails, and sits behind a circular bar below dozens of bottles that are suspended from the ceiling within reach of the machine.

As you can see in the video, the robot shakes the cocktail, perhaps not as well as a human bartender, but enough to create apparently very delicious mixes.

Obviously, there will be some other human operator near the robot in case the machine breaks down or does not do its job well, and they will also lend a hand in case the robotic arm cannot fulfill all the orders at a given time.

As for the restaurant, which is geared more towards Olympic Games workers, it will serve foods such as hamburgers and rice, which are prepared and served by machines. Apparently, different tracks that run through the ceiling are used, and the orders (already prepared) They go down directly to the tables according to the location of the diner.
