Horizon Forbidden West: More than 40 machine species populate the game world

In Aloy’s new adventure we can count on a large variety of opponents.

Already in the first part of Aloy’s journey, Horizon Zero Dawn, it was the machine beings that made the world so appealing and set it apart from other post-apocalypses. So of course we’re particularly looking forward to this aspect of the Forbidden West sequel. Information from an official guide now gives cause for joy: This time, over 40 different robot species await us.

It’s all about this: In Horizon Forbidden West, Aloy will take on machines she met in the previous game. But she will also have to face a lot of new aggressive creatures. We have already seen some of them in the trailers. Now, thanks to a guide, we’ve learned how big the variety of opponents will actually be.

Over 40 machines: A comprehensive strategy guide for the game will be released on March 31st. The hardcover volume will be published in English and will have 656 pages. Publisher is Future Press, known for extensive game guides.

As stated in the item description amazon.co.uk can be read, 200 pages of the book deal with the more than 40 machine species that await us in the Forbidden West. It’s about their attacks and how best to counter them, because different strategies are required for the different species.

What else is in the HFW book?

The massive tome contains info on pretty much every aspect of the game. It should contain useful tips for combat, i.e. weapons and strategies. There are also recommendations for quests and information about the world, including maps, with as few spoilers as possible.

Horizon Forbidden West finally played: This open world is a stunner

The book can currently be purchased at amazon.de cannot be pre-ordered. Here we only find the information that the article is currently not available. Since there is still some time before the guide is published, this could change. The game actually comes out before the book, on February 18th. It is available from amazon.co.uk for around 37 euros, but cannot be shipped to Germany.
