The Spanish provinces with more and less radars

If you are one of those who complain that your province is the one with the most radars in Spain, we invite you to see our ranking to see if you are complaining with or without reason…

Due to the fact that they are the ones that affect us the most, it is easy to think that ours is the province with the most radars in Spain but it may not be so. With the latest update of the DGT (dated November 25, 2010) we have prepared a list that will allow you to really know if you are complaining rightly or wrongly.

At the end of 2021, the General Director of Traffic, Pere Navarro, announced that in the coming months 26 new radars will come into operation: 16 of them will be sectional and the rest will be installed in fixed cabins.

The exact location has not been provided for the moment, but it has been said that most of them will be placed on secondary roads. Remember that in these the generic limit has been set at 90 km/h and that when the new Traffic Law comes into force (it will be on March 21) the maximum allowed to overtake may not be exceeded by 20 km/h.

We have reviewed the list of radars of the DGT province by province to see which one has the most radars.

According to our calculations, these are the 10 provinces of Spain with the most speed cameras (those of Catalonia and the Basque Country are left out, since they have transferred the competences in terms of traffic and, with it, the ownership of the cinemometers).
