Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is slowly approaching release, and the official information about the Borderlands spin-off is piling up accordingly. In the style of a true RPG, the title will feature classes, the last of which have now been revealed. In addition, a new trailer and the current developer diary reveal which places we are allowed to visit, which characters we meet in them and how the creation of a character works.

Here’s the Spore Warden and Graveborn classes in action:

These are all the classes in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands

With the introduction of Spore Warden and Graveborn, we now have all six classes that will be available to us in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. Here is an overview again:

  • Spore Warden (roughly “Spore Warden”): Spore Wardens are friends of nature and use it against their enemies – for example through storms or poisonous spores of their mushroom companion. This class is also suitable as a support that can buff others with effects.

  • Graveborn (roughly “graveborn”): Anyone who chooses a Graveborn should be aware of the risks. This class trades its own health to unleash incredibly powerful dark magic attacks. His undead companion supports him with additional necromancy.

  • Killomanten: This is an assassin class that can use magic blades. Knowing their enemies’ weaknesses, Killomancers deal critical hits frequently. Their strength is sneak attacks.
  • Brr-Zerker: Those who prefer less subtle methods should be fine with this class. Brr Zerker hail from frigid realms, and their forte is brutal melee attacks.
  • Clawbringer: Clawbringer are loyal warriors who wield a spectral hammer and bring thunder and flame upon their foes with a fire-breathing wyvern companion at their side.
  • Spellcaster: Spellcasters are wizards who wield guns, unleash spells and bullets in continuous fire, and turn their enemies into harmless beasts with a snap of their fingers.

Multiclass possible: At some point in the campaign, you will have to choose a second class to become a Destinybringer. It is up to you whether you continue to put hero points in the skill tree of the original class and specialize in this way, or whether you prefer to use as many different skills and advantages as possible.

New places introduced

The trailer also shows us previously unknown areas in which we will end up in the course of the adventure. Unique opponents and NPCs should be waiting for us in each area. Of course, the latter also award quests. These are not only meant to be fillers, but to shed more light on the world of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.

These areas are new:

  • Crackmast Cove: This area has a pirate theme and there’s sure to be a lot of pirate puns waiting for us. The beaches and caves are inhabited by undead denizens who once roamed the high seas and are now out to get us.
  • Drowned Abyss: We don’t know if we’re allowed to go out to sea, but we’re definitely going under the sea. Undead pirates and nasty mermaids make life difficult for us here, but there is certainly a lot of loot to be found in the sunken ships.

This is the Drowned Abyss, where treasure and danger lurk.

These areas were already known:

  • Brighthoof: the capital of the Wonderlands
  • Ass Gaul’s Castle: a radiant and magical palace
  • Sunfang Oasis: a refreshing oasis in the desert heat
  • The Tangledrift: own ecosystem above the clouds

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands features many role-playing elements

Gearbox seems to be more closely aligned with the Dungeons & Dragons template than many might have thought when revealing Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. The game definitely takes the RPG theme seriously. So you can earn hero points, which you can put into your character’s stats. There are six values:

  • strength
  • agility
  • intelligence
  • wisdom
  • Constitution
  • Spell Attunement

Character Editor: Already when choosing the class you can invest points in these categories. Of course, it makes sense to pay attention to the specialization of the respective class. For example, the Brr Zerker relies on power to properly swing its icy axe. Magic classes like the archer, on the other hand, tend to use intelligence and wisdom.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will be released on March 25, 2022 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
