Lost Ark lets you level characters automatically and you don’t even have to pay real money

The new MMORPG Lost Ark offers a few ways to quickly level up your character. In one of them you don’t even have to play it yourself. We at MeinMMO summarize the bizarre mechanics.

How does auto leveling work? Once you have a character above level 50, you will unlock a quest on your island. You can pick up this task near your main house and it will lead you back to your island via several detours.

At the end you have a little robot on the beach of your tropical paradise, where you can commission the automatic leveling. This is available in 5 different ways, each time with different costs and different requirements.

But only the first possibility of the booster is really interesting. This takes a character from level 10 to level 50 within 8 hours without any prerequisites.

What does it cost? The cost of the booster is 600 gold. This is an in-game currency that is relatively difficult to farm at first, but later occurs much more frequently.

So it offers more experienced players a way to level up new characters faster – without investing real money. Another option to achieve the same result faster would be the Power Pass, which can be bought for real money.

In addition to the gold, you still have to bring 8 hours of your time, in which you can absurdly continue to play the character. After those 8 hours, you will then be teleported to a town, receive gear in the mail, and have completed the full story up to that point.

What are the other 4 choices? Once you’ve completed the first boost, you’re level 50 and have a gearscore of 302. But to be able to start the next boost, you need a GS of 460. So you can’t just skip everything.

The remaining boosters then each skip the story of a complete continent. However, the requirements and costs are constantly increasing, only the 8 hours always remain the same. For the last boost, the story of the Punika continent, you need a GS of 1,100 and a whopping 2,400 gold.

This video by streamer Saintone describes the mechanics in detail:

“This is just ridiculously efficient”

Is the boost worth it? The first variant of the booster, which takes you from level 10 to 50, is definitely worth it. 600 gold is collected relatively quickly in the endgame and you simply skip a lot of content.

Streamer and Lost Ark expert Saintone confirms in his video that this boost is incredibly worthwhile. He says: “600 gold is far too little for that. That’s just ridiculously efficient. Level 50 in 8 hours, which is faster than I would play it myself. Just incredibly efficient.”

However, the situation is different for the other variants. Saintone considers the boost more than superfluous, especially for the last stage of the booster, which virtually skips the Punika continent.

He repeatedly emphasizes that the skippable content would only take you about 2 hours if you play it yourself. Waiting 8 hours and paying 2,400 gold is completely unnecessary in his eyes.

The streamer also considers the remaining three stages of the booster to be more or less useless, or at least too expensive. Commenting on the video, one fan confirms, “It’s just not worth skipping all the way to GS 1302 unless you have the gold left over anyway and want to get rid of it. But skipping the main story until level 50 is awesome.”

Will this be available with us at launch? According to the community manager in the Lost Ark discord, the boost should be available from us right after the launch. However, there is no other source for this. In any case, you have to play at least one character yourself before the boost is available.

What do you think of the booster without real money? Would you use it or are you rather against the fact that you can simply buy a high-level character? Do you consider skipping the whole story as good content? Or are you more bothered by the equipment that the game gives you afterwards? Write it to us in the comments here at MeinMMO.

By the way, we have everything you need to know about the endgame of Lost Ark in the video.
