VfL Lübeck-Schwartau: Season off for outside Potratz

Season off for Mattis Potratz. The 20-year-old left winger of the second division handball team VfL Lübeck-Schwartau has had an operation on his right shoulder. The right-hander, who has recently played for the third division team HSG Ostsee N/G and is already one of the top performers, has had problems for some time, but because of the lack of personnel at VfL, he waited until regular outsider Joscha with the planned intervention Ritterbach is fit again.

Potratz operated in the Baltic Sea Sports Clinic

A labrum tear, a torn articular lip, was found in Potratz. “The operation went very well. Mattis’ shoulder is now immobilized for three to four weeks. He won’t play again this season,” said team doctor Dr. Dirk Haupt after the operation in the Ostsee-Sport-Klinik Bad Schwartau.

Contract until June 2023

Potratz only gets back into full swing at the start of the new season. Then for the youngster with a contract until June 30, 2023, it’s also about his future, whether he stays with VfL or is loaned out. VfL manager Daniel Pankofer had announced that “after the preparations, we would see if Mattis could keep up”.
