As is well known, Pokémon can not only belong to a single type, but can even combine two types. For example, Charizard is a fire-flying Pokémon, you know.

But do you already know the following fun fact? Like Reddit users and Pokémon fans Mx_Toniy_4869 shows, there are currently 17 type combinations that have not previously appeared in the Pokémon games.

These wild Pokémon combinations capture our imaginations:

  • normal poison
  • normal rock
  • Normal Beetle
  • normal mind
  • normal steel
  • regular ice cream
  • fairy fight
  • fairy ground
  • Fairy Fire
  • battle ground
  • Battle Electro
  • Poison Steel
  • Poison Ice Cream
  • rock spirit
  • Beetle Dragon
  • Beetle Dark
  • fire plant

Incidentally, Mx_Toniy_4869 has another curious Poké-Fun fact ready for us and explains how the love ball in Generation 2 accidentally became a queer super weapon.
