WoW smuggles 5 new items into the game – they probably belong to the new addon

Blizzard secretly smuggled 5 items into the current game data of World of Warcraft. Suspicious because there are also 5 dragonflights…

Encrypted files in the latest World of Warcraft patch always draw attention. However, it is particularly interesting when Blizzard secretly “pushes” them on while the patch is running. That’s what happened recently. Because in a “night and fog action” suddenly 5 new items from the PTR found their way to World of Warcraft and gave the leaks to the next addon new strength.

What kind of items are these? Since the game data is still encrypted and the textures can therefore not be read, the exact appearance of the items is still uncertain. However, it is already clear that these are items that are intended for the back – a kind of capes.

In the recent past, Blizzard has repeatedly experimented with new “cloaks”. There are now various backpacks, floating blades, small murloc babies and even wings of the Kyrians. It is very likely that these back items will also have a very special design.

What does this have to do with the new expansion? The fans are already busy speculating here. Because the fact that these items were pushed into the “live game” shortly before the announcement of the new WoW expansion on April 19th indicates that they are pre-order or “special edition” items of the next addon , which players can unlock immediately after pre-ordering.

The highlight of the matter: The fact that there are exactly 5 items.

There are currently many theories and leaks that the next expansion will be called “Dragonflight” and will have to do with the dragonflights, of which there are exactly 5. So the amount of new back items is the same as the number of original dragonflights: black, blue, green, bronze, red.

What items could that be? The most common theory is that the item is cosmetic dragon wings. Players have long wanted wings of some kind as an additional character option, and a dragon expansion would be the perfect starting point for introducing such cosmetic items – especially if the next addon could be about helping the dragonflights.

Of course, nothing has been confirmed yet and the encryption of these items will in all likelihood only be removed on April 19th, when the new addon will be presented. But until then, we all have time to dream a little and hope that the supposed Dragonflight leak turns out to be true.
