Crazy Twitch Streamer Challenges the World’s Best LoL Players – Lets Chance Decide Position

Crazy Twitch Streamer Challenges the World's Best LoL Players - Lets Chance Decide Position

Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp is arguably the craziest League of Legends streamer. Having already managed an insane challenge in recent years, he now wants to reach the challenger rank in Korea. He lets chance decide his position.

What is this challenge? In his new project, Tyler1 wants to reach the rank of Challenger in Korea. Only the top 300 players in Korea can get it. So that in itself is a big challenge as Korea is considered the strongest region in LoL.

However, he has added another handicap. Because while most Challenger players are particularly strong in one position and have mastered it to the highest degree, Tyler1 wants to let chance decide which role is played – in every single match.

That’s why he will always register as a “filler”. He only knows which role he gets in the champion selection itself.

When does the challenge start? It starts at the end of April when Tyler1 travels to Korea himself. He will stay there for 30 days, which makes this challenge even crazier. He is traveling to Korea with a friend but will only be playing SoloQ.

Tyler1 started out as a one-trick pony, has since reached Challenger at every position in America

Can he really do it? Tyler1 has great ambition and consistently pursues his goals:

The Twitch streamer has now mastered every position in LoL and has also already had experience with the SoloQ in Korea. Since he plays and streams LoL almost every day, he has completed a huge number of matches.

Still, this challenge won’t be easy to complete, especially since he only has 30 days.

Has anyone done this before him? That’s not entirely clear. There are Challenger players who consciously choose the “Fill up” position. However, none of them claim to have played from 0 to Challenger purely by chance.

However, there are also players who have reached Challenger in all 5 positions, including Sweden’s Carl Felix “MagiFelix” Bostrom.

By the way, if you want to see some of Tyler1’s achievements, here’s an interesting compilation by YouTuber Brendon Sims:

Well-known coach says: Even gold players will cause problems for Tyler1

Who commented on the challenge? Nick “LS” de Cesare is considered one of the most brilliant coaches in League of Legends. For many years he coached teams in Korea. However, he assumes that Tyler1 will not make the challenge (via YouTube):

I don’t think Tyler can do it. I don’t know how long he will stay. The thing is, Tyler moved up because he’s smarter than the NA players and also had an advantageous ping. The problem in Korea is that the silver and gold players have better game mechanics than what he’s used to in his average games. They’re still dumb, but mechanically better.

Do you trust Tyler1 with this challenge or is LS right with his assessment? Will you watch the spectacle or do you have other favorite streamers for LoL?

One of the most interesting developments is going through the LoL leagues below the LEC. Because interest in these regional leagues has increased significantly this year:
