WoW streamer praises Dragonflight: “It’s all I wanted to see”

WoW-Streamer lobt Dragonflight: „Das ist alles, was ich sehen wollte“

Dragonflight is well received – at least by WoW streamer Asmongold. He feels heard and sees a lot of good things in the next Azeroth adventure.

Well-known streamer Asmongold is one of World of Warcraft’s biggest fans, but also one of its biggest critics. Especially in the last few months, the criticism often outweighed that he even took a break from WoW and devoted himself to other MMORPGs like Final Fantasy XIV or Lost Ark. When the new WoW expansion was announced, however, he was back at the start – and is completely enthusiastic.

With all the announcements, Asmongold’s grin widens and he’s surprised at how often the developers say exactly what he wanted to hear:

Holy fuck man! Oh my God. I can’t keep up with everything. This is just crazy. In general, this is pretty damn great.

Asmongold is particularly pleased about the revision of the talents and the fact that this time there will probably be no “Borrowed Power” – i.e. no system in which players receive a temporary power that significantly influences their playstyle and is lost again at the end of the expansion .

He’s blown away at the announcement of “Callers of the Dracthyr,” the new race-class combo in Dragonflight:

It’s quite a bold move to bring a whole new race and limit them to a single class. If they want to do that, I’m in. The new dragon characters look freaking awesome.

The other dragon features are also pretty well received by Asmongold. For him, dragon riding in particular seems to be a useful extension to flying and he particularly likes the possible adjustments:

I’m so glad they do this. Remember when I said they should do this with a base version of the Alliance Horse or Horde Wolf? Now they do that and everyone gets a kite!

However, there are a few minor uncertainties for Asmongold. So he’s not sure if the revision of the professions with the specializations and the quality levels of items will really pay off as Blizzard imagines. But even here he is satisfied that the developers are willing to dare experiments to breathe new life into old features. After all, there is still plenty of time to fix problems or make adjustments – a beta hasn’t even started yet, but you can already register.

In summary, the Dragonflight announcement seems to have said and demonstrated all the things Asmongold wanted for World of Warcraft. As a long-time WoW veteran, he seems extremely pleased with the return to a more traditional storyline, less borrowed power, and a cool new class with a unique look.

Now WoW: Dragonflight only has to prove that what is shown and the words of the developers also keep what they promised. At the latest, a look at the beta, for which you can already register, should clear things up.
