PS Plus will soon come in a new guise and with different gradations. The premium tier of the subscription includes not only some PS4 and PS5 games, but also older PlayStation titles from the PS1 era. It is currently not certain which ones will be exactly, but there may now be the first indications of a very special series of games: Siphon Filter! Fans of the franchise have been hoping for a return for years and could at least play the originals again.

PS Plus Premium also offers PS1 games and these might be included

That’s what it’s about: Sony is transitioning PS Plus so that there will soon be different price and content tiers. PS Now then belongs to the higher price ranges and with PS Plus Premium you get various older games as a bonus, for example. Among other things, this includes PS1 classics.

These games could be included: As gematsu reported, Twitter user The_Marmolade noticed that some games from the Siphon Filter series have been given a new age rating in Korea. And for the PS4 and the PS5. The titles are the following games:

The titles are all a few years old: Siphon Filter was released for the first PlayStation in 1999, the sequel Siphon Filter 2 came in 2000. The two PSP titles Dark Mirror and Logan’s Shadow followed in 2006 and 2007 respectively for the portable PlayStation Portable . It is striking that here both Siphon Filter 3 and Siphon Filter: The Omega Strain are missing. The latter was released for the PS2 in 2004.

The assumption is that the newly assigned age rating is a sign that the Siphon Filter games are to be made available again as part of the PS Plus Premium subscription. There is for that no official confirmation yetbut it would be quite logical.

Would you like Siphon Filter? Which PS1 titles do you want for the PS Plus Premium subscription?
