One of the best J-RPGs is coming to us as an MMORPG soon – you can register now

Ni No Kuni is a well-known and popular Japanese role-playing game. In the summer of 2022, Cross Worlds, an MMORPG based on this universe, will be released. You can play it on PC as well as Android and iOS. You can already register in advance.

What kind of game is this? Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds is an anime MMORPG that connects two worlds. The story revolves around you and your character immersing yourself in a virtual reality called Soul Divers. There you will learn of a danger that threatens both worlds – the virtual and the real world in the game.

• At the beginning you have the choice of five different characters: witch, swordsman, archer, technician and destroyer. The basic physique of the character is given, but you can determine the subtleties such as hairstyle and skin color yourself.
• Explore a colorful anime world with your character.
• You can expect action battles where you have to target the opponents.
• You complete quests and encounter boss monsters in the open world.
• There are dungeons that you can explore together with other players.
• You join your own kingdom with your guild, which you have to protect from attacks by other players and you can attack other kingdoms at the same time. The best kingdom should then control the capital and be able to set certain rules there.

Above all, the graphics are highly praised by many testers and also in the comments on YouTube.

When is the game out? The global release is planned for summer 2022. It will be released primarily for mobile devices, but you can also play it on PC.

Auto-play, gacha, and rewards for pre-registration

How do I pre-register? If you are interested in Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, you can already register on the website (via Netmarble). As a reward for pre-registering, there is a special explorer outfit.

There’s also a hat and a special title if you join the game’s Discord channel.

What is the monetization like? The MMORPG will be Free2Play, but it relies on a gacha system like Genshin Impact. It already generated sales of 101 million euros just 11 days after its release – and that only in Asian countries. The global release is still to come.

Is there auto play? Yes. You can automatically run to quest objectives. It is currently somewhat unclear whether there are also auto battles. This cannot be directly deduced from the gameplay of Steparu and other YouTubers.

Is there crossplay? Yes, PC and mobile players experience adventures in the game world together. At the moment it is still unclear how the PC version will be released. An emulator may need to be downloaded for this.

Will Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds be released in German? Yes. You can already find all the information and even virtual interviews with the five different classes in German on the website.
