Now is the best time for you to get into Lost Ark – 3 months after release

Lost Ark was launched on February 8th, but now is the perfect time to jump into the MMORPG. We at MeinMMO explain to you why it’s really worth taking a first or second look at the game.

What’s going on in the game right now? On April 21st, after a few stumbling blocks, the big April update finally came to the MMORPG and brought many useful innovations with it. So there was not only new content for the endgame, but also a completely new class that fights with a glaive and a lance.

The update ensured that the number of players increased again. The servers are currently pleasantly busy and you can always find a group quickly, but the queues from the launch are a thing of the past. Lost Ark is just really good to play at the moment.

But that alone is not the reason why it is worth entering or returning to the game right now. Mainly responsible for this are two events that are tied to fixed times.

• The Express Event
• The Feiton Power Pass

What are the events for? Both of these events are designed to let you catch up. The developers at Smilegate and Amazon want to get you into Tier 3 as soon as possible, rather than beyond the Gearscore of 1,302. Because the so-called Legion Raids are among the best content in the game, but only come into play from a Gearscore of 1,415.

However, since this is comparatively difficult to reach and even active gamers are not necessarily that far, the developer decided to help the players here. Both the Feiton Power Pass and the Express Event will remain in the game until June 30th and will help you get a high Gearscore quickly.

So it’s the perfect time to jump back into the game or dive right in, because right now you can easily catch up with your friends, even if those months are ahead.

The Express Event is the biggest stepping stone in the game

How does the event work? The Express Event can only be assigned to one of your characters. Once you make this choice, you cannot undo it. A character who is already in Tier 3 could therefore no longer do anything with this event.

It is aimed specifically at players who have just reached level 50. The only requirement to start the event is simply to have reached level 50. From there, the express event will help you to reach a gearscore of 1,000 as quickly as possible.

As soon as you start the event on the character of your choice, the event page will also open for you. There you can see a total of 5 levels, which are sorted by Gearscore. Starting at level 1 you now have to complete the tasks listed and receive rewards for doing so.

These tasks are usually very easy or you do them on the side anyway. Things like Chaos Dungeons, Guardian Raids and daily quests are required of you here. You will then receive very generous rewards for completing them, mostly in the form of upgrade materials.

How else does the event help you? It lives up to its name and literally goes into express gear when it comes to upgrading your gear. Because not only do you get heaps of materials that you need to upgrade, you also consume less.

The Express Pass provides the following benefits when upgrading Tier 1 and Tier 2 gear:

• Increased success rate when upgrading by 20%
• Between +1 and +12, your equipment will improve twice with each attempt. So you jump directly from 1 to 3, from 3 to 5, etc. You don’t use up more materials than normal
• The shards required to upgrade equipment are reduced by 40%

If you already have a character in a higher tier and have completed research on your island that the previous tier can upgrade more efficiently, you can get a 100% chance of success up to +10. But even for completely new players, this is the perfect way to catch up very quickly.

Some users in reddit even write that thanks to the event they are now further with their second character than with their main.

More rewards: The express event not only helps you with upgrading. If you have completed all tasks in a level, you will receive an additional reward box. These range from simple engraving instructions to real money shop items.

Above all, the rewards for completing Level 4, i.e. Gearscore 1,000 and all tasks completed, are impressive. Legendary Card Packs, Legendary Rapport Crates, Gold, and more await here. So the event is really worth it and will help you catch up with your friends who have been playing since release in no time.

The Feiton Power Pass gives you the 2nd character

What are Power Passes? How exactly the passes work is explained in detail in a separate article. In short, they are pushes for your alternate characters. Two of these passes are in the game by default.

You get them when you reach level 50 and complete the story of Vern. If you then use the pass on a new character, that character will also be level 50 and have completed everything up to Vern. So you get an additional character that is just as advanced as your current one.

What is Feiton Power Pass? In terms of its functionality, it does not differ from the normal Power Passes that can always be found in the game. However, it brings you more and is a real gold mine in combination with the express event.

If you have reached the Gearscore of 1,000, you have roughly played through the history of the continent of Feiton. Until June 30th, you will then receive a Feiton Power Pass, which takes another character through the history of Feiton and gives him gear with a Gearscore of 960.

So if you start with Lost Ark now and can invest a few hours until the end of June, the game will give you two characters at the gates of Tier 3. That’s where the real endgame begins.

How long is the pass there? If you have already completed Feiton with any character or will complete it by June 30th, you will receive the Power Pass automatically and for free. However, you must have used it up to and including June 30th, after which it simply disappears.

Whether there will be such a great opportunity to unlock again in the near future is unknown and questionable. The two events currently complement each other perfectly with the ongoing Battle Pass, which serves you even more rewards.

So if you ever wanted to revisit Lost Ark, or get started on the title, now is the perfect time to do so.
