Pokémon GO: Spotlight Hour today with Kinoso (Sun Form) and more XP

Pokémon GO Shiny Kikugi Kinoso Cloud Kinoso Sun

Spotlight Hour is live in Pokémon GO today, April 26, with Kinoso in Sun Form. Here you will find all information about the start and the bonuses of the event.

What is this event? Spotlight Hour occurs regularly on Tuesdays in Pokémon GO. For 60 minutes, the focus is then on a Pokémon that appears significantly more often in this hour.

Today’s event revolves around the Grass-type Pokémon Kinoso in the sun form. You can find the development of the cherry Pokémon Kikugi in every nook and cranny of the wilderness. There is also an XP bonus during the hour.

When does it start? As usual, the spotlight hour starts at 18:00 local time. It then runs for exactly one hour and ends at 7:00 p.m.

There are these bonuses: Basically, Kinoso’s spawn rate is increased in sun form. In addition, you can usually attract the event monster with the smoke item.

Above all, however, the XP bonus is interesting: During the limelight hour, you get double XP for all monsters that you catch. You can double this number again if you use a Lucky Egg during Spotlight Hour.

However, in the sun form, Kinoso is not necessarily easy to catch and can also defend itself well if you want to grab it. However, the bonus applies to all monsters.

Does Shiny Kinoso exist? Basically, Shiny Kinoso can be found in the game since the shiny Kikugi was added during the “Environment Week”. With this, its evolution as a Shiny Pokémon is also available. However, it is still uncertain whether Shiny Kinoso can also be found in the wild and thus in the limelight hour.

Is today’s spotlight worth it?

This is how strong it gets: Kinoso doesn’t play a major role in Pokémon GO battles. You might still be able to use it as an option in Super League in PvP, but that’s about it. In the raids there are much better attackers in Pokémon GO.

So the Limelight Hour is primarily worthwhile if you’re missing a Kinoso in the shape of the sun in your collection. That may well be the case, after all, Kikugi evolution randomly determines what form you get.

Otherwise, Kinoso isn’t particularly interesting. The XP bonus could be exciting for players looking to level up – but it’s worth noting that Kinoso isn’t that easy to keep up.

Otherwise, a change has been made to Mega Evolutions in Pokémon GO. You can find out everything about the new mega developments here.
