PS Plus: Games for May are known – 2 indie hits meet the biggest PlayStation game of 2021

Sony has officially unveiled the new games for PS Plus in May 2022. In the new month you get the best-selling PlayStation game in Europe for your PS4 and PS5. There are also 2 indie games that rely on similar recipes, but are very different. MeinMMO introduces you to the titles.

What games are on PS Plus in May? As usual, with a subscription to PS Plus you can download 3 games at no additional cost. With one click you get to the game presentation in the article:

FIFA 22 is the best-selling PlayStation game in Europe in 2021 (via playstation.com). You’ll also find the indie adventures Tribes of Midgard (has a co-op mode) and Curse of the Dead Gods.

When are the games available? As always, PS Plus games will be available to you from the first Tuesday of the month – this time that’s May 3rd, 2022.

What kind of game is this? FIFA is probably the best-known sports simulation in the world and will be coming to PS Plus for the first time in May with its current title.

Year after year, the latest version of the football game is a huge seller in Europe, always topping the sales list. There is hardly a larger premium game with us.

FIFA 22 offers you different modes in which you can live out your own football dreams:

Direct duels against friends
Building a team using card packs (Ultimate Team)
Control individual players or play 11v11 in Pro Clubs
Create your own team in career/management mode

PS Plus May 2022: Tribes of Midgard – Giants vs. Co-op Vikings

What kind of game is this? Tribes of Midgard is a survival Roquelite RPG in which you build a village with your tribe and protect it from boss giants who want to get your hands on it. This can be experienced solo, but also with up to 10 players in co-op.

You get resources together, expand your village, craft tools, loot weapons, pump up your characters and lose everything again as soon as the challenges in the game become too big. With each run you collect progress, making you a little stronger next time.

There is a story mode with special challenges, but also a survival mode that lets you play until the giants roll over you.

It all comes in a Viking setting with colorful graphics. For a first impression we include the launch trailer here:

PS Plus May 2022: Curse of the Dead Gods – Roquelite Without Mercy

What kind of game is this? The second indie title in the lineup is Curse of the Dead Gods. And here, too, you will find Roquelite elements.

As a lone warrior you fight your way through randomly generated temples, face nasty monsters and have a large arsenal of deadly weapons.

The further you get, the more the game wants to kill you. Curses, darkness and traps make life difficult for you.

With each run you collect progress that will help you in future excursions into the dark world of Curse of the Dead Gods to advance even further into the cursed temples.
