The PS Plus conversion is becoming more concrete: those who have both subscriptions will benefit to the maximum

On June 22, Sony will change its subscription services in Germany, expand PS Plus and discontinue PS Now. Many of you will therefore certainly be wondering what exactly happens to your completed memberships. For subscribers of both services, we now have good news regarding the transition: you will benefit to the maximum and will be automatically migrated to PS Plus Premium – with the longest pre-arranged term. Sound a little confused? Don’t worry, we’ll explain it to you in detail.

General information about the PS Plus move

Do you currently have a PS Plus subscription?, your membership will be converted 1to1 into a PS Plus Essential subscription at no extra cost. You can upgrade to one of the other two ranks (Extra/Premium) at any time.

Do you currently have a PS Now subscription?, you move to the highest of the three levels, PS Plus Premium, at no extra cost and benefit from all bonuses such as the game libraries and game trials. Incidentally, there is an interesting leak for the latter, after which you can try out all AAA games in the future.

This happens if you have PS Plus and PS Now

One big question was still open: What actually happens if I have both memberships? Here we have good news for you. On the one hand, thanks to your PS Now subscription, you are of course moving to PS Plus Premium. On the other hand, you also benefit from the longest completed membership. (via Playstation)

An example: You currently have PS Plus for another three months until July 31, 2022, but only recently extended PS Now by twelve months until April 30, 2023. At the launch of PS Plus Premium on June 22, you will receive the service for the remaining term of your PS Now membership, i.e. until April 30, 2023.
