In the test: With the Nitro 5 AN515-55-57GF, Notebookcheck.com tested a variant from the model series with the same equipment on paper and came to the following assessment with a rating of 81 percent (“Good”):
Acer wants to achieve value for money by spotlighting the mobile GeForce RTX 3060 on the Nitro 5. At the right price, the Nitro 5 is a great gaming laptop with no major weaknesses.
Meanwhile, with the Nitro 5 AN515-55-521K, Chip.de has also rated a variant with the same equipment from the data sheet with the grade 2.2 (“Good”):
The Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55-521K shows in the test that a good gaming notebook doesn’t have to be expensive. The device focuses on great performance and good input devices. The display and the battery runtimes have to give up a bit.
When it comes to equipment, the device shows two different faces. It offers a generous range of interfaces, but only a very small 512 GB SSD for a gaming notebook. To be fair, the installation kit for an additional hard drive is included in the scope of delivery.
