Stardew Valley: Funny grandpa bed mods are taking the hearts of the community by storm
There are a number of fun and interesting mods for Stardew Valley.
Stardew Valley gives us the task of taking over our grandfather’s run-down farm. We see this grandfather lying in bed during the intro. However, this bed looks more like a kind of plastic stretcher or an aluminum table. Certainly not a proper bed for an old man. This is exactly what the modding community wanted to change. Then the whole thing somehow became a kind of sure-fire success, which led to highly amusing style blooms.

As you can see in the article header image above, our Stardew Valley grandfather could really use a nicer bed. This looks very functional and anything but comfortable or in any way fitting for a grandfather. But on the contrary. It is surprising that developer Eric Barone aka Concerned Ape has not lent a hand here again.
Grandpa needs a nice bed: At first, that was probably the basic idea behind it. Because the Stardew Valley modding community is very lively, it didn’t take long for the old man to get a nice, big wooden bed. Problem solved, story over, article over. But far from it! Here the fun is just beginning.

The saga begins: On the modding site Nexus Mods you can now find heaps of different mods for the intro sequence and the bed. Among other things, a whole series that have changed the bed a lot more. The whole thing has become a kind of running gag, in which, for example, an even worse bed was made. Or one where ping pong is played. In one mod, the grandfather is completely missing and in another, the grandfather himself is the bed. A bit like Kirby.

Someone else simply modded the grandfather into Robin, who wears a grandpa mask. The thought behind it: Robin is behind the whole thing that is leading to us moving to Stardew Valley in the first place. And only because she wants to sell us her services and buildings to make money.
