Lost Ark and Elden Ring were the biggest titles on MeinMMO in 2022 so far and magically attracted many players. But the release hype is over and slowly it may be worthwhile to look to the future.

Evil Dead: The Game – Create a horror night

What? Evil Dead: The Game is an asymmetric survival adventure in which 4 players fight against a demon also controlled by one player. The demon is something like the director of the match.
The players pursue tasks in 3 acts that lead to a boss fight at the end. The troops are armed with all kinds of clubs and firearms. But ammunition is scarce.
On the way there, the demon keeps the survivors on their toes: he sets traps, provides jumpscares and can spawn and take over monsters that attack the players.
As a demon, you essentially create the prime-time horror adventure and must stop the co-op team from completing the objectives. You can even take over the boss at the end and fight with his move set.
Outside of the matches you improve the characters via large skill trees and within a match you collect improvements to adapt to the situation. There are 4 survivor classes and 3 demon classes.
Why? So far, many asymmetric titles have had a hard time on the video game market, only Dead by Daylight has been able to record long-term success.
But the interest in such games is there, but there is usually one problem: the role of the killer or monster. She is often ungrateful and balancing is also one of those things.
With Evil Dead, the “killer” should have an influence on what’s happening at all times and doesn’t have to be afraid of going dead with a stupid action.
Resource management is in demand – for survivors and monsters. The survivors must keep their ammo and support items together, and the demon must consider what actions will be most efficient in stopping the survivors.
