Elden Ring: Player builds a powerful “Meta Killer” build to stop the most annoying PvP weapon
The Bloody Streams katana has a controversial reputation in the Elden Ring community. On the one hand it is one of the most popular weapons in the game, on the other hand it is considered by many to be far too powerful, especially in PvP. Souls expert PeevePeeverson has now created a build to give players who use the katana a real boost.
Why is Rivers of Blood so powerful? The katana relies primarily on bleeding damage. This status effect is very powerful in both PvE and PvP against most opponents.
On top of that, Bloody Streams has a powerful Ashes of War that you can use to pull off powerful combos and defeat enemies in PvP with few hits. There is additional fire damage as a bonus, in addition to the base physical damage and the bleeding effect.
The builds around the katana have dominated for some time, especially in PvP. This makes it popular and hated in the community as many use it while others criticize that most only use this katana anymore.

The Souls expert and YouTuber PeevePeeverson has now shared via Twitter a clip and a build he made to show Bloody Rivers users that the meta-weapon isn’t doing them much good.
“The Orphan” is a build against groups and Bloody Tides users, relies on thick weapons
What build is this? Peeve refers to the build as a “group-chasing horror build,” which is particularly useful against users of Bloody Rivers. This build is called The Orphan. This build also looks correspondingly weird:
The big strengths are the high resilience of 628 to be prepared for status effects like bleeding and frost and 100 balance, which makes it impossible to be interrupted by the katana’s skill.
According to Peeve, other popular weapons like the naginata with seppuku ashes of war also don’t match the build.
These are his equipment and attributes: In the clip, Peeve has rune level 167, so he can invade all players level 150 and above, since the level range for invasions is -10% and +10% of your level.

In fact, the build is incapable of performing the quick dodge roll. You are therefore comparatively slow on the move, which is not particularly important given the high level of robustness and balance.
However, thanks to the Wing Crystal Tear, which he can use from the medicinal compound, he can significantly increase his gear weight for 3 minutes. These 3 minutes are usually enough for an invasion. The Crystal Tear can be found north of the capital Leyndell, directly on a rock face.

- He wears the Dungeater’s set, the Armor of the Mark. This is very heavy armor with high balance and durability. You get it when you complete the NPC’s quest. By the way, this also unlocks another ending.
- As weapons he relies on Godfrey’s ax in the left hand and the infernal prelate’s staff, which also received a very good rating in our tier list.
- As talismans he has equipped the billy goat talisman, the claw talisman, the shard of Alexander and the horn magic talisman.
- As incantations he uses “Flame, give me strength!” and Golden Barrier, his seal is that of the Raging Flame.
- He also has the Spiral Shield with him, just in case, to be able to parry in case of doubt.
Peeve claims it’s knocked out numerous surprised Bloody Torrents players in one fell swoop and the build works fantastic against such weapons.
How is the build doing? In the numerous tweets below the build, players are happy that there is an effective way to break the annoying katana meta. At least partially.
Free_Man writes: “Thanks for showing that this game can be fun in PvP without following these bullshit metas.”
However, Peeve emphasizes that he has no problem with players who primarily use meta weapons. Responding to a player who doesn’t dare to play Rivers of Blood anymore because of so many complaints, he writes:
