Theorycraft Games is a new studio made up of many former developers from Riot and Blizzard. Now they have announced their first game, which will probably be a MOBA like League of Legends. And mentioning that the art supervisor of the Netflix series Arcane is in the starting line-up.

League of Legends, Valorant, Destiny, Overwatch, Halo – the developers of the new studio Theorycraft Games worked on these games. on Twitter The studio says of itself that they are “on a mission to create deep games with 10,000 hours of gameplay that are simply better when played with friends.”

The first game designed to fulfill this ‘mission’ is currently codenamed ‘Loki’. This has now been officially announced by Theorycraft Games. The announcement also revealed that more creative minds are joining the studio:

  • Andrew Yip, former game designer at Legends of Runeterra.
  • Kévin Le Moigne, Art Supervisor of the popular Netflix show Arcane. He was responsible for concepts and color design in the LoL series.

There is no trailer or gameplay footage yet. However, the first pictures already show how the “scurille” game should look like.

Loki is for fans of “MOBAs, adventures with friends, and team-based competitive PvP”

What exactly Loki should be for a game is currently not entirely clear. But it is probably a MOBA, which combines a brightly colored graphic style with a post-apocalyptic setting. The developers call this mixture “pop-apocalyptic”.

The developers also made it clear who the game is aimed at: “If you like MOBAs, adventures with friends and team-based competitive PvP, we have something new for you!”

The game has been in development for over a year and is currently trying to fine-tune the gameplay with many playtests. More than 100 players have already been able to test it and more are to come.

However, the call for new playtesters is currently limited to players from North America. It is currently not known whether German gamers will soon have the chance to take part themselves.

However, if you think this announcement will affect Season 2 of Arcane, we have good news. After worries about the future of the Netflix hit, Riot has responded and given a clear answer:

Because Netflix has big problems, LoL fans are worried about Season 2 of Arcane – Now Riot is reacting
