sp9_ebru writes about the error in her Instagram story

What is the VBL Open? The VBL Open takes place in Seasons and is a free in-game mode in FIFA 22. You have to complete a certain number of games to get into the VBL Playoffs. It’s like a “virtual Bundesliga” in which you represent one of the 18 clubs in the Bundesliga. At the end there will be a grand finale.

What does the FIFA player write? She took part in the current season of the VBL Open, which started in November 2021. She was “completely on the grind” and “wanted to take every chance.” In December she didn’t have enough time for all the qualifying games.

So sp9_ebru let her colleague play the games she couldn’t find time for. This counts as cheating in the tournament – everyone has to play their own games.

Instead of just attacking again next month, I made a huge mistake and let a colleague play the last few games. I was totally in the grind – wanted to take every opportunity and just wasn’t reflecting enough.

Furthermore, she wants to stand by the mistake and not keep it secret and hope for further support from her fans.

Were there any consequences? Önal also announced in the Insta story that EA Sports became aware of her cheating and banned the player from all VBL competitions this season.

It is not yet known whether the “SP9 Esports” team and SV Wehen Wiesbaden will have any consequences for the 21-year-old.

How long is the current season? The last qualifying rounds took place at the end of March 2022. From May 2022 the VBL playoffs will continue, followed by the grand final. The final will take place on June 4th and 5th and there is even money to be won: 100,000 euros.

However, sp9_ebru has already digested their consequences and not only has to answer for cheating, but also has to forego a possible 100,000 euros.
