Diablo 3 is celebrating its tenth anniversary and we want to celebrate with you. In the announcement, the developers explain that Season 26 is now being improved and that one feature of the season will remain in the game forever.

Which feature is it? In the current season 26 of Diablo 3, which has been running since April 15th, there is the endgame activity “Resounding Nightmare”. This feature was (further) developed especially for the current season as a seasonal theme. It’s based on content that was already seen in the game a few years ago. The revised form of this is now active and intended to remain.

In addition, the team at D3 now wants to improve S26 and introduces a special bonus that will remain active until the end of the chapter.

“Lots of positive feedback,” which is why Hallender’s nightmare remains

Blizzard says: In the latest blog post on May 12th, the team writes that they “received a lot of positive feedback on the Echoing Nightmare” and that players had “so much fun” with it. Based on community feedback, Blizzard has decided to make Echoing Nightmare a permanent feature in the game. So it remains active outside of S26 and you can use it again and again.

This is a horde mode that you activate after you have received the appropriate item from a boss. Via Kanai’s cube you then teleport yourself into an arena in which more and more and stronger opponents gradually appear. You will then receive strong loot in relation to the difficulty you have completed.

Diablo 3 refreshes the endgame in Season 26 with a new mode – This is “Echoing Nightmare”

Bonus for Season 26: The current season is intended to be more attractive for players and that is why there is a bonus on bounties. “From today until the end of Season 26, all bounties will be doubled,” the blog post reads.

The team explains that the bonus affects the Horadric Dice. If you complete five bounties in one act, you will get double the amount of dice based on the difficulty of the game. This does not affect the drop rates of rewards.

How do you like the change that makes a seasonal feature permanent content? Do you also like Echoing Nightmare so much that you want it forever?

However, the Echoing Nightmare is not completely new. The feature dates back to 2015 and is now in the game in a revised form. In the earlier version, there were a few things that needed ironing out.
