Mafia 4 is rumored to be about Don Salieri

Unfortunately, while the Mafia Trilogy remake didn’t fare too well with fans, the series managed to retain its overall popularity with gamers. Many users are happy about a possible fourth offshoot of the popular series, and there have always been some rumors about the plot and the general setting of the new game.

What is the plot in Mafia 4 about?

The well-known leaker recently reported Shpeshal Nick on the XboxEra Podcast. According to Nick, Mafia 4 will act as a prequel to the entire series and players will take on the role of Don Salieri. The game is said to be set between the 19th and 20th centuries and will focus on Salieri’s power struggle, although his family will likely also feature. Furthermore, Mafia 4 should again build on the fairly linear design of the series and be even more linear than Mafia 3.

So far there is not much information about the next offshoot of the Mafia series. Most likely, the title is currently in a fairly early stage of development. If Mafia 4 builds on the strengths that have made the Mafia series so popular among gamers, the title could definitely be another success for Microsoft. However, it is definitely too early to make any firm statements at this point.
