AVM has released a new update for the Fritz OS. With Version 7.30 for the Fritzbox 4060 the Internet router gets new functions and is now compatible with DECT telephones from other manufacturers.
Apart from the increase in compatibility, there aren’t any major innovations in the official patch notes are listed. With the update, however, the prioritization of a specific computer should be easier to activate when accessing the Internet. There is now also a journal for received and sent faxes for fax machines integrated in Fritzbox.
Other improvements relate more to the use of Fritz Fon, Fritz DECT and Fritz Smart Home. There were already numerous improvements with the previous update 7.29, which, among other things, improved the activation of Internet access to storage media via FTP/FTPS and thus made it more secure.
Nevertheless, this update should be of particular interest to MacOS Monterey users, as they will benefit from the improved compatibility. The update can from now on downloaded and installed using the AVM update assistant.
