Take-Two Interactive: Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands and WWE 2K22 exceed expectations

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands and WWE 2K22 have exceeded Take-Two Interactive’s expectations, according to Fourth Quarter 2022 Report.

The games Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands and WWE 2K22 exceeded Take-Two Interactive’s expectations. This emerges from the report for the fourth quarter of the 2022 fiscal year.

The company dubbed Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands “2K’s best new franchise launch in several years,” as 30% of players considered it their first Borderlands game.

Things were also going well for the latest part of the wrestling series. For example, the new WWE 2K22 had the best first month of the series in sales in the US, according to the NPD Group.

5.6 million hours of WWE 2K 22 watched and more than 140 million matches played on Twitch.

The developer studio Visual Concepts, on the other hand, was able to sell a pleasing ten million copies of its basketball game NBA 2K22.

In the fourth quarter, Take-Two Interactive had net sales of $930 million. That means an increase of 11%. Net income was down 49% to $111 million.

An 8% increase in bookings, or $846 million, was achieved in the fourth quarter.

For the full fiscal year, net sales were $3.51 billion. That’s an increase of 4%. However, net income fell 29% to $418 million. Net bookings were also down 4% ($3.4 billion). Consumer spending also fell by 6%.

When forecasting fiscal 2023, Take-Two Interactive expects net bookings to be between $700 million and $750 million. Titles like Grand Theft Auto V/Online, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, Red Dead Redemption 2/Online, NBA 2K22, WWE 2K22 and The Quarry should contribute the most to this.
