Simon the Sorcerer Origins: Adventure Series Will Continue In 2023 – News

To get to the beginnings of Simon the Sorcerer To return, you have to go back almost 30 years. In a way, Italian developer Smallthing Studios is trying to do this in collaboration with publisher Leonardo Interactive. Because that announced for 2023 Simon the Sorcerer Origins is supposed to be a prequel to the popular adventure series. The story is supposed to take place a few weeks before the first part from 1993.

The previously unknown studio relies on hand-drawn cartoon optics and classic point-and-click control. In the role of Simon you will visit Simon’s (new) house, the legendary Academy of Magic, absurd forests, stinking swamps, rotten dungeons, alchemical laboratories and many more places. You must try to unveil an ancient prophecy. The developer promises you lots of puzzles, monsters, humor, bad smells and old gadgets. Unlike the adventure classic sequel Return to Monkey Island (to the news) are the original developers of this successor, such as Mike Woodroffe and Simon Woodroffe not involved.
