The Naughty Dog developers are definitely masters at this discipline, and they are known for putting working time into a falling sack of rice to make a scene that little bit more realistic. That obsession with exceeding expectations translates into gameplay, as evidenced once again by a unique attack animation by Joel from The Last of Us.

In The Last of Us you can sweep enemies off the table

Seen in this attack animation in a clip by Reddit user Ziske_22, it took seven, if not eight, playthroughs to trigger it. It works on enemies that are at Joel’s head height, such as standing on a table or solid block (as in the video). Instead of punching when pressing Square, he grabs opponents’ legs and pulls them away, causing them to land hard. “Oh man!” exclaims Ellie in the video, apparently equally impressed:
