Everything in Fortnite speaks for a brutal live event for Season 3 – what happens there?
In Fortnite it is now clear that a live event will soon await you at the end of Season 2. However, indications suggest that more destruction will come your way than you think. An old companion from Chapter 1 could give the underground organization IO the final push, but will it be enough?
What do we know about the live event so far? A new live event is in the works and so far the imagined order doesn’t want to give up. They deploy all the guns and have built a doomsday machine. But not only that is known. Epic has published some hints that make the live event even more interesting than initially thought.
- A video with a soundtrack was releasedwhich ended up showing the Mecha Leader’s face
- New comics in cooperation with Marvel feature Doctor Doom with Sloane (the IO leader). Another comic shows the mecha leader set up and ready for a fight.
- New leaks and clues like a loading screen and data in Fortnite indicate something is happening in space or even the whole map is being shot into space.
A crushing struggle for realities begins
How could the live event go? Since the Seven have pushed back the imagined Order and liberated all occupied POIs, Sloane has ordered the construction of a giant machine. After the 20.40 update, this was placed next to Tilted Towers and now charges up until the live event.
But the seven won’t give up that easily. In a mission you have to fish mech parts out of the water for Jonesy. This is reassembled, but the seven need a banished member of the group to be able to control this giant robot at all.
So Jonesy tries to bridge the gap between the Paradigm and the rest of the now six-strong gang. A great battle awaits you, but an anti-hero may stand in your way.
Doctor Doom was featured in the new Fortnite: Zero War cover comic episode. In these, he stands behind Sloane and in front of the giant bear robot.
Whether he works for IO or just cheats on her to join the side of the seven is unclear.
What does that mean? If you follow all the clues, there is a big, final battle ahead of you. Should the construction of the mecha leader actually take place, the extent of the damage from the battle is unpredictable. These could even be so devastating that the map can be shot into space.
Despite this, the argument between the seven and the IO seems played. The fights for the POIs of the occupied IO camps went too smoothly. Every fight was won hands down by the futuristic freedom fighters.
An intrigue spun against you would be conceivable. The two sisters belonging to the Seven also have no files in the IO’s database, as they were deleted by Genõ, an unknown entity of the IO. This is unusual since, according to Jonesy, the Imagined Order never deletes opponents’ data or records.
How this happened is unclear, but it strongly suggests that you, as a looper, are not allowed to learn anything about them that could piss off the sisters. Or maybe they’re just double agents, leading the seven into a trap.
When does the live event start? According to Fortnite Intel, a Fortnite leaker, a “Live Event” countdown will also start soon. This will run until July 3rd, since that’s when the live event starts.
So stay tuned, because you can expect downtime after the event, followed by a new season with lots of changes and cool new skins.
