Fallout: London – Ambitious project shows first gameplay
The modding communities for various games never cease to amaze us with extremely ambitious projects. There are numerous mods that completely overhaul a given game, add new gameplay mechanics and maps, and much, much more.
One of the most exciting titles at E3 2021 was such a mod for the game Fallout 4. With the catchy name Fallout: London, the developers want to transport the series from its typical setting of the American wasteland to the wasteland of London in the year 2237. There was already a first trailer to see and on the official page of the mod the developers gave some more information about what exactly they want to achieve with their project.
First gameplay of Fallout: London
Since then, however, Fallout: London has been fairly quiet, which is understandable. A mod of this scale takes a lot of work, and it’s not a big studio like Bethesda, it’s just a small group of dedicated players. Meanwhile, there is good news for everyone who was interested in this mod, as the team recently released a new gameplay trailer, which takes a full 18 minutes to tell us more about the game.
In the trailer itself, of course, we see devastated London in all its glory, but also some new interface elements, textures, and also the iconic Pip-Boy. If you have explored the world of Fallout 4 extensively, you will surely immediately notice some differences from the original. There is also a lot of work in the voice acting of the various London citizens, because the developers were able to secure two talented actors, Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy, who have worked for Doctor Who in the past.
The team behind the mod went on to say that we can expect a cinematic trailer for Fallout: London very soon. So the work on the project seems to be going well. So far there is still no fixed release date, but at least you can on the official site of Fallout: London Find numerous screenshots, information about the plot and history, and much more.
