Witcher 3 Next Gen — The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been waiting for its PS5/Xbox Series version for a long time.

The two CD Projekt games “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” and “Cyberpunk 2077” were released for PC and last-gen consoles a while ago. Both titles caused a stir when they were released, albeit for different reasons. What both titles have in common is that a next-gen patch was on the roadmap, or a It’s still available, but it’s already available for Cyberpoint 2077.

Not only since then fans have been waiting patiently for one Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X/S version of The Witcher 3, to also be able to experience the role-playing epic on next-gen. Witcher 3 in particular should look much prettier than before on the current generation of consoles.

This upgrade was originally supposed to be released in 2021. However, in a first press release, CD Projekt announced that the release would be postponed to 2022. Then followed a tweet that suggested Q2 as the start date. Now it goes on.

Update from 05/20: On Twitter, CD Projekt succinctly announces that the next-gen patch for The Witcher 3 will be postponed again. Now the plan is: Q4, i.e. the end of the year – at least until another postponement should be necessary.

Still, it’s good to know that the developers want to take their time to deliver the new versions in the best possible condition – especially after the failed launch of Cyberpunk 2077 on the Playstation 4, after the game even had to be temporarily removed from the PS Store .
