Even without E3 2022: All events and shows at a glance
Although E3 2022 has been cancelled, we can expect many events and streams in the coming weeks.
In June, the entire video game industry traditionally meets in Los Angeles and there are new announcements at E3. But this year the well-known trade fair is cancelled, which is why the question arose as to which events and live streams will take place at all. As more and more shows are announced for the period, we’ll give you an overview of when you can watch which live streams.

Below are all the streams announced so far for the original E3 period. For more info on each show, just click on the event name. All times are in German time.
If you are still missing shows from Nintendo and Sony in the list, then that is correct so far. The two biggest publishers haven’t announced any events yet. But what are the chances we summarize here.
Summer Game Fest
Summer Game Fest will be repeated again in 2022.
That awaits you: Geoff Keighley is now a household name with his Summer Game Fest and Game Awards. The opening show will again bring a colorful mix of small and large games. So get ready for world premieres.

Netflix Geeked Week: Gaming
One of the projects confirmed so far for Geeked Week is the cyberpunk anime.
That awaits you: During the Netflix Geeked Week, the major streaming provider shows new series and films from specific subject areas for a whole week. The special showcase around gaming presents implementations based on your favorite video games. The focus this time is above all on the anime for Cyberpunk 2077:

For the third time, small publishers are joining forces to launch their innovations.
That awaits you: Behind this name hides an association of smaller publishers and indie studios that use the stage to present their games. The partners are not yet known this year.

Wholesome Games Direct

That awaits you: You don’t always just want to shoot, kill and play emotionally stressful games? Then Wholesome Games is the place for you. During the show, indie studios in particular show their latest creations, which are as relaxing as possible and trigger pleasant feelings. Some shadow drops have already been promised.

Xbox and Bethesda Showcase

Starfield – E3 trailer shows first alpha scenes in the game engine
That awaits you: Aside from the opening of Summer Game Fest, Microsoft will probably have the biggest announcements. The publisher is once again bundling the entire lineup of Xbox and Bethesda in a show that should last almost 90 minutes.
When is the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase happening? On June 12 at 7 p.m. German time.
What is shown? Officially there are no games that are confirmed yet. But Microsoft has some hot contenders coming up with games like Forza Motorsport and Starfield that are sure to make an appearance.

Future Games Show
The Future Games Show has space for indies but also some bigger games.
That awaits you: The live stream of the Gamesradar magazine has now established itself as a constant. Once again, a colorful mixture of indie and AA games will be shown during the show – everything that has little or no space in the really big ones.
When does the Future Games Show take place? So far, only June 12 has been confirmed – an exact time will follow.
PC Gaming Show
PC fans will get their money’s worth with this show.
That awaits you: Attention friends of PC gaming. The PC Gamer magazine stream is back, bringing with it a show that’s all about PC gaming. But some of the titles will also be available on consoles.
When does the PC Gaming Show take place? So far, only June 12 has been confirmed – an exact time will follow.
Day of the Devs 2022
Double Fine is back giving small indies a stage.
That awaits you: The Day of the Devs event celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. The Studio Double Fine, in combination with Summer Game Fest and iam8bit, invites you to an event all about upcoming indie games. There is no date or possible games yet.
What about Nintendo’s E3 Direct and a PlayStation Showcase?
Two of the biggest publishers have yet to say when and if they will be hosting a live stream in the coming month.
That’s how it is with the Nintendo Direct: Traditionally in June there is always a big show from Nintendo with the most important announcements for the Nintendo Switch. Only in 2020 has there been a break so far, when no E3 took place due to the pandemic. Since Nintendo mostly has reveals ready for games that come out a few months later, it’s very likely that we’ll see a new Direct sometime in June.
One of the possible candidates for the show could be the second wave of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC. All information about the route pass can be found here:

That’s what a PlayStation showcase is all about: Sony has skilfully ignored the E3 since 2019 and launched something of its own. So it could be the case again that we have to be patient until September at the latest. On the other hand, the first PS5 reveal was fired in June 2020. So it just remains to be seen how Sony will act this year.
