Hooray? “Ugly Sonic” has a guest appearance in the new Chip and Dale

A while back we reported on the new chip and chap movie. The surreal mix of animated characters and real settings managed to generate a lot of attention even before the release on Disney Plus. The film can now be seen on the platform and, in addition to numerous other cameos, it also shows the fastest hedgehog in the world. However, it is not just the conventional Sonic the Hedgehog that appears in the film, such as in the new Netflix series, but the so-called “Ugly Sonic”.

Who is Ugly Sonic?

The character Ugly Sonic is that variant of Sonic the Hedgehog, which was once seen in the first trailer for the movie about the blue hedgehog. At the time, the internet was far from enthralled with the character’s CGI design, particularly his human-derived teeth. The studio responded, a new design was created, and Sonic the Hedgehog became one of the highest-grossing video game films of all time.

Meanwhile, the sequel is even more successful and is considered the highest-grossing video game film in US cinema history. But Chip and Dale – The Knights of Justice takes up the story of the “expelled” Sonic. In two scenes, the frustrated Ugly Sonic is shown complaining about how the internet reacted in the past. However, there will soon be a true crime series for the not particularly aesthetically pleasing hedgehog in the film, “Ugly Sonic, uglier Crimes”. The Disney film was even designed in collaboration with the animation studio that worked on the original version.
