Call of Duty Vanguard shows 9 minutes of gameplay from the campaign

The Ultimate Edition of the shooter Call of Duty: Vanguard is half price. In addition to the main game in the PS4 and PS5 versions, you also get a Season Battle Pass, XP bonuses and various in-game content. In Vanguard, Call of Duty sends us back to World War II. As part of a special unit, we are supposed to stop the mysterious Nazi project Phoenix. The campaign is not only staged with the usual bombast, but also amazingly varied, with missions that take us to the Atlantic coast, to Stalingard and to North Africa, among other places. As with the predecessor, the multiplayer is again very fast.

Metro: Exodus – Test video for the first-person shooter

For just under 10 euros you can get the Metro Exodus Gold Edition, in which you get the first person shooter together with the two story expansions The Two Colonels and Sam’s Story. While in the predecessors we spent most of our time in dark Metro tunnels, in Metro Exodus we travel by train through post-apocalyptic Russia in search of a not too dangerous and contaminated place to live. When exploring the varied and open areas, the shooter is more reminiscent of games like Fallout and Stalker than the first two parts. Every now and then there are also the horror moments in tight, dark environments that you know from the Metro series.

Rage 2 - Open World, Boss Fight + Flying in Long Gameplay Video

Rage 2 – Open World, Boss Fight & Flying in Long Gameplay Video

In the first person shooter Rage 2, you can tell that the professionals from id Software helped with the gameplay: the gunplay and the hit feedback are excellent, the pace is consistently high in the fights, the splatter effects are bloody. An extensive arsenal of weapons with various mods as well as cool special abilities and vehicles and aircraft also ensure playful variety. The greatest weakness of Rage 2 is the bleak open world, in which there is little to discover apart from always new fights. If you can live with that and you are primarily concerned with fast-paced shooter gameplay anyway, the almost 8 euros are a very good investment.

Control – test video

Control is a mystery shooter from Studio Remedy (Max Payne, Alan Wake). We slip into the role of Jesse Faden, who ends up at a mysterious agency investigating supernatural phenomena in search of her missing brother. As soon as she enters the building, she is suddenly the director. In search of an explanation for this, she not only makes more bizarre discoveries, but also has to defend herself against numerous enemies. She does this with both force of arms and superhuman powers ranging from telekinesis to mind control. In addition to the main game, the Ultimate Edition also contains the expansions “The Foundation” and “AWE”.

Call of Cthulhu - Video for the test: little horror, but many clever details

Call of Cthulhu – Video for the test: little horror, but many clever details

Call of Cthulhu is an action-adventure inspired by HP Lovecraft’s horror stories. As a private detective, we are supposed to solve the murder of a painter in the fishing village of Darkwater. The focus is on investigative work in a playful way: we conduct dialogues with potential witnesses, solve puzzles and, in reconstruction mode, put the evidence together to form a coherent picture of the past. Unfortunately, the limited development budget of the studio is noticeable in the occasional shooter passages. Apart from that, the atmospheric lighting and the great soundtrack still manage to create a dense creepy atmosphere, although there are largely no jump scares.
