Calisto Protocol: First screenshot for the Dead Space-like horror game

The horror game Dead Space, released in 2008, still has a large fan base today. So their hopes are pinned on The Calisto Protocol, an apparently very similar game from Striking Distance, the studio of Dead Space developer Glen Schofield. So far, there hasn’t been any graphic material for the forthcoming title, but now Game Informer has it a few artworks and a first screenshot, which we use here as the article image. It’s possible that The Calisto Protocol will be the cover story of the next issue of Game Informer.

Calisto Protocol: According to Krafton, no postponement

Although The Calisto Protocol is scheduled for release later this year, the silence surrounding the game has been deafening, unlike usual in the industry. But moving the launch date doesn’t seem to be up for debate, like that latest investor briefing by the publisher Krafton. It confirms the release in the second half of 2022 and emphasizes the extraordinary “AAAA” quality of The Calisto Protocol.

However, it is not certain whether the game by Glen Schofield’s team will actually be a game similar to Dead Space. Game Informer himself commented: “The Dead Space comparisons are inevitable, but make no mistake: The Callisto Protocol is a completely different game. We’ve seen exclusive, never-before-seen gameplay footage in which our protagonist, Jacob Lee, attempts to end the terrors of Jupiter’s second-largest moon and survive his suspect prison.”
