An interesting pattern has emerged in PS Plus over the last two years. That’s why fans are now speculating that Jedi Fallen Order will be free in June.

San Mateo, California – Another month is drawing to a close, and speculation about Sony’s PS Plus subscription service is beginning again. Subscribers regularly discuss and speculate about which games will be available for free via the program in the coming month. However, many of the fans are already expecting that Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order will be one of the free games for PlayStation in June 2022. This is due to a certain pattern that has emerged at PS Plus over the past two years.

PS Plus: Fans expect free Jedi action in June 2022

Why Jedi Fallen Order? Lately there have been a lot of rumors surrounding the Soulslike Metroidvania game from a galaxy far, far away. A sequel to Jedi Fallen Order in particular is currently the subject of much discussion. According to insider Jeff Grubb, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be released in early 2023. Bringing the predecessor to PS Plus for free in advance would be a good idea. In addition, Fallen Order was released more than two years ago, after such a period of time the game should be available for free.

Why in June? As some resourceful Reddit users have discovered, Star Wars has had quite a solid history with PS Plus. A thread on r/PlayStationPlus shows that in June of the last two years, a game from the sci-fi franchise was added to the subscription for free. In 2020, Star Wars Battlefront 2 was free, while in 2021 juicy space dogfighting action starring Star Wars Squadrons became available to subscribers.

With such a pattern, the fans suspect in the Reddit forum strong that Sony is again coming out with a Star Wars game this year. So Jedi Fallen Order would be the closest candidate. But two years doesn’t make a tradition, so it’s still pure speculation at the moment.

What’s next for PS Plus? Even before the rumors and speculation about Jedi Fallen Order, there were some references to the free games on PS Plus in June 2022. The hottest evidence points to Bloober Team bringing its latest horror game, The Medium, to PS Plus for free next month. However, June 2022 will also be the last month in which subscribers can use Sony’s subscription service in its current form. At the end of the month, the San Mateo company will change the entire structure of PS Plus. In our opinion, The Medium and Jedi Fallen Order would be suitable candidates for the end of an era.
